Trauma Informed Practices in ECE

Trauma 101

Session 1 of this series will cover the effects of various forms of trauma and toxic stress in early childhood, children’s brain development in the first five years, and the impact of traumatic stress on children’s brain and overall development. 

In this training you will learn to:

  • Identify the different challenges, behaviors, triggers and reactions that children with experiences of trauma/traumatic stress display
  • Apply key strategies that support children and build their resiliency to reduce the adverse effects of early trauma
  • Develop a plan for incorporating trauma strategies for children in your care

You must attend the Trauma 101 to attend Preventing Burnout or Trauma Reflective Group.

*Participants who attend Trauma 101 will be given the opportunity to register for Preventing Burnout and/or Trauma Reflective Group after completing Trauma 101*
