Trauma 101

 

Session 1 of this series will cover the effects of various forms of trauma and toxic stress in early childhood, children’s brain development in the first five years, and the impact of traumatic stress on children’s brain and overall development.

 

In this training you will learn to:

  • Learn the neurobiology of trauma and the impact of toxic stress on the brain and behavior of a child
  • Learn the difference of a challenging behavior and a trauma trigger
  • Learn key trauma sensitive strategies that support children and build their resiliency to reduce the adverse effects of early trauma

3-part series, designed especially for child care providers

 

You must attend the Trauma 101 to attend Strategies to Support Children Affected by Trauma or Trauma Reflective Group.

*Participants who attend Trauma 101 will be given the opportunity to register for Strategies to Support Children Affected by Trauma and/or Trauma Reflective Group after completing Trauma 101*
